Festival of Music and StageThe Green Mountains of Vermont are filled with the sounds of music during the summer. Vermont is a place that appeals to the heart and spirit as well as to the eyes and ears. In addition to our inspirational scenery, Vermont offers other avenues to refresh the body. The state boasts several festivals and concerts throughout the summer. We have festivals for classical, rock, jazz, percussion and bluegrass music, theater, arts and crafts, classic and historic cars, flower shows, quilt shows and an ethnic heritage festival. Dave Brubeck at the Paramount Theatre in Rutland The Vermont Symphony Orchestra, oldest of the state symphonies, figures prominently in a number of the series and festivals in the area. The Killington Music Festival, celebrating 26 years of Music in the Mountains this summer of 2007, brings us the talents of aspiring young artists during the summer months. Whatever your taste, you can find it here at the Crossroads of Vermont. Come, listen, and enjoy, while basking in the relaxing atmosphere of the Green Mountains. • Killington Music Festival Summer 2008: Annual series of summer concerts featuring the work of contemporary and classical composers; Killington Residency Program for aspiring classical musicians; performances by students and faculty.
