Killington Resort:
The Best Skiing & Snowboarding

Killington Resort stretches across six mountains and features 141 diverse trails served by 22 lifts. Killington's elevation advantage, combined with the world’s most extensive 600-acre snowmaking system and 250 inches of annual snowfall, means you’ll enjoy the best ski and snowboard conditions every day of the season!

Killington is known for its diversity of terrain, providing skiers and riders of all ability levels a choice of wide-open groomed cruisers, narrow classic New England runs, moguls, steeps and trees. Killington offers multiple terrain features for snowboarders and freeskiers, including five terrain parks and a 430-foot long Superpipe.

The Killington Region has many other activities including cross-country skiing, rock climbing, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, dog sledding, spas, shopping, fine dining and nightlife.

Killington's 17-vehicle Grooming Fleet grooms 50-80% of open terrain on a nightly basis. We also have numerous trails that are left untouched for the mogul enthusiasts, including Outer Limits - the steepest, longest mogul slope in the East!

Hours of operation are 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday-Friday; 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. weekends and peak days. Peak days: 2/13/10-2/21/10. Scheduled to open early November (weather and conditions permitting). Scheduled to close Early May 2010 (weather and conditions permitting).

Suicide Six:

(802) 457-6661. www.woodstockinn.com/skiatinn. Only 3 miles from Woodstock Village - Woodstock’s ski mountain! In 1937 Bunny Bertram founded this ski hill on “hill number six” and it was quickly named “Suicide Six” for the steepness of some of its 23 trails. Today it offers the best in family skiing and snowboarding as well as a strikingly comfortable lodge with excellent food in the lounge and cafeteria.

Great Snowmobiling
Snowmobiling is another popular activity, with several companies that offer rentals, guided tours, and lessons. The majority of the state of Vermont is connected by a huge network of maintained snowmobiling trails that offer beauty, excitement and challenge.
