GMP schedules power interruption early Saturday, July 11

The outage will affect Pawlet and sections of Wells and Rupert.

Green Mountain Power line crews need to interrupt electric service to 2,300 customers in Pawlet early Saturday morning so they can safely make reliability improvements to the system serving the Pawlet area. The outage will affect the town of Pawlet, customers adjacent to Route 30 in South Wells and most of Rupert.

The outage is scheduled to begin early Saturday morning at 12:01 a.m. and last until approximately 4 a.m. The interruption is necessary to provide safe working conditions for crews as they replace wires and install other equipment to improve reliability.

In case of inclement weather, the outage will be postponed until the next day, Sunday, July 12, at the same time.
