Irene Relief Effort Updates

Updates and information as it happens is posted on
KillingtonTown.com. Information not on this sheet has not changed
from what was last released.
Transportation Reminders:
Rt. 4 East:
The Vermont Agency of Transportation (AOT) is making significant
progress on Rt. 4 east and west of Killington. AOT told us Route 4
East from Killington to Bridgewater will be closed for construction
from 7:00 am - 6:30 pm daily.
There will be a police escorted/assisted entrance to and exit from
Killington twice a day. Please drive carefully and yield to
construction vehicles on all roads. The schedule is:
Eastbound (From Killington to Bridgewater)
- 6:30 am
- 7:00 pm
Westbound (From Bridgewater to Killington)
- 6:00 am
- 6:30 pm
Rt. 4 West:
Route 4 towards Rutland is closed to unauthorized vehicles,
including personal cars. Any requests for Access must go through
Steve Finer at 802-422-FIRE.
The Bus will be running to Rutland beginning Tuesday, Sept. 6. The
schedule is posted HERE and is current until further
notice.
Meadowlake Drive will be closed due to construction from 6 am
Thursday, Sept. 8 to 6 pm Friday, Sept. 9.
Journey's End Shuttle Service:
With the help of Gramps Shuttle and a number of volunteers from
Mendon and Killington, the towns of Killington and Mendon have
coordinated a shuttle service between Journeys End and Tyrol Motel.
The shuttle schedule is as follows:
- 7:45 - 11 am: Gramps Shuttle, every 15 minutes
- 11 am - 6 pm: Volunteer Shuttle, as needed (there may be a
slightly longer wait)
*Please note times may vary depending on weather and traffic
FEMA and Insurance Claims for Individuals and Businesses:
Joelle Jarvis will be available at the Killington Town Office every
day starting on Thursday, Sept. 8 from 1 - 4 pm for any business or
individual claim inquiries.
Veterinary Assistance this Saturday:
Dr. Bruce from Eastwood Animal Clinic will be at the Killington
Deli on Route 4 on Saturday, Sept. 10, between 3:30 - 4:30 p.m.
Please call 422-FIRE to make an appointment.
Woodstock Union School Update:
The bus schedule for Sept. 7 will include Killington Sports
(Formerly Shops at the Shack) to Val Roc Motel to WUMSHS.
The schedule will be:
6:45 a.m. From Killington (Stop at Val Roc, if
necessary)
7:30 a.m. Arrive WUMSHS
2:50 p.m. Leave WUMSHS (Stop at Val Roc, if
necessary)
3:35 p.m. Arrive Killington
6:00 p.m. From WUMSHS (Stop at Val Roc, if
necessary)
6:45 p.m. Arrive Killington
WUMSHS will be assessing construction work daily, with the goal of
getting back to a normal schedule for the children and parents as
soon as possible.
