We know that all the skiers and riders in Killington are still
hoping for a big March storm but things here at GMNGC are looking
pretty green. Our Superintendent Peter Bissell says that the course
is in the best shape it has ever been in this early and thinks
there is no reason to wait before we start "teeing it up."
For the first time in history GMNGC will be open in the month of
March! Saturday, March 24 at 8 a.m., to be specific, another great
season of golf will begin. The Back 9 will need a few extra days to
get ready but the Front 9 will be ready to go. Memberships
available or just play 18 holes with a cart for the special rate of
$40.
GMNGC has has a new Facebook Fan Page. They will still continue to
send regular email newsletters but the Facebook page will be
updated daily with the latest GMNGC news, events and tournaments.
GMNGC will also have special deals, contests and incentives that
will be exclusive to Facebook "friends!"
The Vermont Golf Association's Men's State Day at GMNGC is
scheduled for Wednesday, June 13 and for the first time
registration for this year's event is online only at the VGA
website. Vermont State Day's are great opportunity to play some of
the best courses at a special rate and are open to any male golfer
who is a member at a Vermont golf club and has a current and valid
GHIN handicap. To register for the GMNGC State Day please
www.vtga.org.
It is going to be a great season here at Green Mountain National,
with lots of events to look forward to including the Vermont State
Amateur Championship. We have just started putting together our
