"I'm going to play a provisional mulligan" was declared as part
of an atypical strategy. Then again, this was no typical golf
tournament. The Killington Golf Course hosted the Annual Burton
Chill Golf Tournament on Friday, July 27.
The Burton Chill Foundation is a subsidiary of the Burton
Snowboard Company providing board sport opportunities to at risk
and under privileged youth. The tournament drew players from around
the region, many of which were representing the snow sports
industry from a variety of New England Resorts.
Various holes provided unique challenges culminating with the
worst ball scramble format on unlucky 13. This was a game changer
for many, sinking several teams and taking them out of the
running.
Winning members went home with a new snowboard and after a round
of many smiles and laughs, the tournament was deemed a success as
the funds raised were donated directly to the Burton Chill
Foundation.
