Restaurant Week was a town-sponsored promotion running Sept.
10-16. It's goal was to help bring in additional business during a
time considered to be the "lull" between the summer and fall
seasons.
For the inaugural year, 11 restaurants participated: Outback Pizza,
Lookout, Liquid Art, Ovations, Inn at Long Trail, Choices
Restaurant, Charity's, Slopeside Bar & Grille, Casey's Caboose,
Birch Ridge Inn, and Peppino's.
The department of Economic Development and Tourism reached out to
each restaurant after the week ended to measure the event's success
and received seven responses. Here is the feedback they
received.
• The average amount spent per person visit for
Restaurant Week was $32
• On average, each restaurant sold $1,800.00 in
Restaurant Week dinners
• Over 400 Restaurant Week dinners were
purchased
Assuming each restaurant had similar success, the following can be
extrapolated
• Over 600 people participated in Restaurant
Week
• Restaurant Week generated approximately $20,000
in spending
