Thieves suspected in the Green Mountain National Golf Course
burglary August 13 were apprehended, Thursday Oct. 18.
GMNGC reported that a large amount of cash was taken after forced
entry through a window. Through investigation two suspects
were identified and subsequently arrested on Oct. 18 at 3 p.m.
The accused, Robert Withington, age 41, and Vincent Reynolds,
age 24, both from Rutland, Vt., were taken into custody without
incident.
GMN staff worked with State Police to help identify the
suspect. And the town is grateful to the State Police for
their efforts. Vincent Reynolds is a former employee at Green
Mountain National, who worked on the grounds crew this
summer. He was terminated in August for his poor work
performance.
