Kristy Hamilton is the owner of a new business in Pittsford
called Hamilton Interiors Limited. As principal designer, Hamilton
invites her clients to "rethink inside the box." She explains "It's
about working with what you already have. What can we incorporate
or update according to what you already own? Repurposing items and
otherwise getting the most out of what is there already. Instead of
going in and spending a fortune on redoing the whole room, we work
with what the client owns already."
This philosophy is likely a welcome change from interior design
firms who would have clients buying all new decorations or
furnishings. Hamilton Design's website says "This is a great option
for those who love what they already have but don't know how to
arrange it to its best advantage or for the person who doesn't have
the budget for a design makeover but wants help to use what they
already have in a new and exciting way."
The concept of redesigning is applied to the major facets of
Hamilton Interiors which include real estate staging, space
planning and new construction design.
Kristy Hamilton received a Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design
from Marymount University in Virginia. After graduation she worked
in the area for high end firms as a designer and a project
coordinator. She returned to her native Vermont in 2010 to work
with her family as a project and design coordinator. Kristy has
teamed up with Loryn Hamilton who has been decorating and
consulting in the area for several years to form Hamilton Interiors
Limited and assist clients in "rethinking inside the box."
