Vermont man charged with burning school buses

WHITE RIVER JUNCTION (AP) - A 26-year-old Vermont man has been arrested and charged with arson and unlawful mischief for allegedly setting fire to several school buses in White River Junction.

Hartford Police say Robert Duprey of White River Junction was arrested Friday, Aug. 2 one year to the day after the fires occurred.
Police say the fires caused just under $200,000 damage to equipment at the Butler Bus Service on Pine Street in White River Junction. Police say three of the buses were burned beyond repair.

Duprey was being held at the Southern State Correctional Facility on $50,000 bond until a court appearance on Monday.
It could not be determined if Duprey had a lawyer.
