Stollen GMP reels amounts to grand larceny charges

MT. HOLLY - On Monday, Jan. 20, at approx. 3:30 p.m., the Vermont State Police responded to a reported theft along Route 103, north of Belmont Rd, in Mt Holly, Vt.
Investigation revealed that four Sherman+Reilly S75SR reels were stolen off a utility pole near 947 VT Route 103, Mt Holly. The reels are owned and utilized by Green Mountain Power and will cost an estimated $6,000 to replace.
The reels are described as weighing approximately 50 pounds each, and measuring roughly 2 ½ feet in diameter by 15 inches wide. They are painted orange and will have bear metal showing due to wear and tear.
