It was another fantastic week here at Green Mountain National
and as the temperatures continue to rise, more and more friends and
familiar faces keep stopping down to enjoy our amazing early-season
conditions!
Everyone here at GMNGC is happy to welcome Dave DeSimone as our
new clubhouse manager and we are all looking forward to a
"delicious" year in Gracie's Grill! You may know Dave as the former
deli manager at the Phat Italian and we hope you'll stop by to wish
him luck and say "Hello!" Dave has lived in Killington for the past
three years but comes to us from Rockland County, New York.
With years of experience at the world famous "Mike's Deli" in the
Bronx, Dave promises to add a little "Italian flair" to Gracie's
menu and is looking forward to making lots of new friends. "I'm not
much of a golfer but everyone has already been so welcoming and
supportive, I know this is going to be a fun summer," says
Dave.
The Teddy Bridges' Memorial Scholarship Fund is filling up fast,
so be sure to reserve a spot for your team today. Mr. Bridges was a
legend in the Vermont hospitality industry and was named an
"Ambassador of Vermont Tourism" during his long and distinguished
career. $100 per player covers everything including lunch on the
course and dinner at the Lookout Tavern after the tournament.
Proceeds from this tournament go toward a scholarship fund that
helps students pursue careers in the resort and tourism industry.
Call the Lookout Tavern at 802-422-5665, or email Phil at
lookoutvt@gmail.com, for more information and to sign-up your
team.
Thursday Night Twilight League was scheduled to start mid-May but
Kelly Spear and our friends at Long Trail Brewing said "That's too
late!" We'll be kicking-off Twilight League a little early, on
Thursday, May 10, with a special night sponsored by Long Trail Ale.
Twilight League is a fun, relaxed, 5 person, blind-draw scramble
and beginners are always encouraged to attend. $15 for members /
$25 for non-members includes golf, cart, prizes and dinner.
Call
that Thursday morning to sign-up and you might win lunch for your
whole team at the Long Trail Brewery, tickets to the "Apres-Ride
Party" for the Long Trail Century Ride or some other great Long
Trail prizes. Plus, there will be specials on Long Trail all night
long.
