For the past 20 years Lynchburg, Tennessee has invaded the
"Beast of the East" and brought the "flavor" of the south here to
Vermont. This year that tradition continues as Jack Daniel's and
all of his friends come to Killington for the 21st Annual Taste of
Tennessee Ski Week.
It is a week filled with special Jack Daniel's sponsored events,
contests, prizes, games and excitement and almost every restaurant
and tavern on the mountain gets "in the spirit" when Jack stops by
for his yearly visit. This year the Taste of Tennessee Ski Week is
being held Feb. 23-26 with games and activities all weekend
long.
From the Jack Daniel's Winter Olympics at the Grist Mill pond, to
après-ski "iPad Jack Attack" parties, Jack Daniel's is everywhere
around Killington and you'll want to be sure and find him.
The highlights of the week include the restaurant contests which
include the "Dine Around Town" entrée contest, the "Paint the Town
Jack" statue decorating contest and the Killington Bartender's
Drink Competition at the Outback Pizza where contestants vie for
the top spot by incorporating Jack Daniel's Tennessee Whiskey into
their creative and delicious drink recipes.
A complete calendar of the weeks events can be here in Mountain
Times next week and can be found posted at almost every restaurant
in Killington. Event participants must be at least 21 years
old.
