Killington welcomes Google

Approximately 600 people from Google's New York City office will arrive in Killington on Thursday for a two-day corporate getaway.

"We are thrilled to welcome Google to Killington," said Joe Kozlar, director of sales in group reservations. "We have put together a number of activities in the area to showcase some of the best we have to offer at the resort, in town and in the surrounding areas."

In addition to the conferences, the staff of Google will have the opportunity to experience area activities including skiing or snowboarding at Killington, cross-country skiing or showshoeing at Mountain Meadows or High Altitude Adventures, tubing or visiting the Long Trail Brewery for a tour and lunch.

This is the first year that Google has come to Killington, but Kozlar hopes it will not be their only visit. "We are going to do it right and put our best foot forward," he said. "We are honored that Google chose Killington and we are confident that they will have a valuable experience here. This town has a lot to offer and really knows how to 'roll out the red carpet' for guests."

The resort is pleased to host Google and is always thrilled to demonstrate its ability to offer valuable corporate getaways to clients of this caliber. The main U.S.-focused site is said to be the Internet's most visited website and Google has enjoyed a continued reputation for innovation even before its initial public offering in 2004.

The red carpets are out, Google. We welcome you to Killington.
