Event recognizes the positive economic impact that the ski
industry has on the region
From 5-8 p.m. on August 14 downtown Rutland will welcome the
mountains down to the city for an event recognizing the positive
economic impact that the ski industry has on the region. Starting
over thirty years ago, the celebration continues, but this year, in
a new location. Festivities will be held rain or shine outside the
Rutland Region Chamber of Commerce office, 50 Merchants Row,
The annual food fest will take place Tuesday, August 14, 5-8
p.m. and feature delectable items from area restaurants, caterers
and businesses. The street will be closed to
traffic. Restaurants will also compete for the Best Taste and
Best Display awards.
Tickets are on sale now. Cost for this annual food fest and tribute
to the ski industry will remain at only $10 per person or $9 if
purchased in advance.
