Killington Hay Festival moves to Burlington’s waterfront park

Hay cows constructed in partnership with Ben & Jerry's

The Killington Hay Festival introduced two giant hay sculptures to Burlington's Waterfront Park last week. They were on display during the Grand Point North Music Festival, which took place Sept 14-15.

Killington hay artists January Meyer, Denise Peront and Ellen Hawke travelled to the Queen City to construct the massive hay cows at the invitation of festival sponsor Ben & Jerry's.

"As a sponsor of this festival we wanted to do a little bit more," says Ben & Jerry's event manager Justin Gural. "We were inspired by the fantastic hay sculptures we saw in Killington and thought this would be a perfect addition to our event, and great exposure for the Killington Hay Festival in Burlington."

The Killington Hay Festival continues through Columbus Day weekend.  Additional information on the Hay Festival and details on all events is available online at
