A ghostly play performed right in time for Halloween

Merchants Hall Stage Series presents The Woman in Black, a Ghost play adapted by Stephen Mallatratt from the book by Susan Hill. A preview will take place on Thursday, Oct. 25 at 8 p.m., for $10. Performances will be held Friday at 8 p.m., Saturday at 2 p.m. and 10 p.m., and Sunday at 2 p.m. for $15 each performance. The Saturday 2 p.m. performance will include a talkback involving cast and crew.

Come enjoy this horrifying play! We follow the character of Arthur Kipps and what happened to him after the book (dealing with his inner conflict after such experiences with the Ghost of Jennet Humfrye at Eel Marsh House, 1850's), similar to the recent movie Starring Daniel Radcliffe. Although there is not an age restriction on seeing this play it is recommended that those choosing to attend be ready to be horrified, unnerved, and entertained. A story about birth, death, status, class, and thrill, this play, perfect for our Halloween Season, is certain to entertain its audience.

Seating is limited, reservations are recommended. Merchants Hall, 40-42 Merchants Row in Rutland, 802-855-8081.
