Photographer Jerry LeBlond leads KAG workshop

Join Killington Arts Guild at their Gallery at Base Camp/Cabin Fever on Route 4 in Killington, for a workshop titled "Photographing Your 2D & 3D Artwork", with Jerry LeBlond.

With the recent improvements in consumer digital imaging equipment and techniques, it has become easier for the photographer, from enthusiast to amateur to produced high quality digital photographs. Artists in search of methods to market their work for exhibition jurying, online presentation, and print samples need to have the ability to translate their work, whether 2D or 3D, into a photographic medium. High quality results can also be obtained by artists photographing their own pieces after learning the basics of this process.
In this workshop, instruction will be provided for the following: How to properly prepare your artwork for copying; What camera and lighting equipment is required to obtain maximum quality; How to set the camera and lights relative to the artwork; How to obtain information on optimum exposure and color rendition; How to ensure the best possible image file results.

The day will be divided into two parts: the morning session will detail specifications for unframed 2D pieces; the afternoon will cover 3D work and/or continue on more work with 2D pieces. Participants should bring bring a maximum of two pieces of their work and a digital camera to be used to create digital images of their work. 2D art pieces should be unframed and no larger than 16x20. 3D pieces should be no greater than 24 inches in any direction.
