Gathering the Grandmothers has been created to elevate the
status of the Wise Women. Area women who see themselves as wise
women and/or in the Grandmother stage of life are invited to speak
their wisdom, be honored and celebrated. You do not have to have
grandchildren to attend.
Long ago the dreams and visions of the Grandmothers became
counsel for the entire tribe. Major decisions that
affected the tribe had to be brought to the Grandmothers. The
ultimate goal in creating these circles is for the
Grandmothers of our society to remember how important they are
and reclaim their place as Wise Elders in their
communities.
The next Gathering will be on Sunday, Jan.
13 from 2-4 p.m. at Right to Wellness, 19 West St.,
Rutland. There is parking in back. New women are always welcome.
Suggested donation is $15-20. The event is facilitated by Teresa
