Rutland Rec Department offers winter camps for students

BASKETBALL CAMP
Join Rutland Raider Varsity Coaches and Players for this week long camp Feb. 18-22. Camp is for boys and girls in grades 3-8 who want to improve their game. Sessions will begin with skill work, which includes shooting, passing, and ball handling. The latter half of the sessions will include game play development and offensive and defensive strategies designed to meet the needs of the aspiring player. Drills to enhance your quickness, agility, explosiveness, core strength, passing skills, defense, and individual 1-on-1, 2-on-2 play are just part of the package. Camp will run from 9 a.m.- 12-noon at the Keefe gym. Fee to participate is this camp is $53 residents, $64 non-resident. If you are passionate to learn more about basketball and hungry to improve then this camp is a must. FEB VACA CAMP
Over school on break, let your kids enjoy a full, fun week of camp Feb. 18-22. There will be an all day trip to the Upper Valley Aquatic Center plus each child will have the opportunity to go swimming at VAC and climb at the Green Mountain Rock Climbing Center. Camp is open for children in grades K-6. In addition Rutland Rec will have super arts & crafts, fun sports in the gym and plenty of outside time at Giorgetti Park.

We will be skating and sledding (think snow!) at Giorgetti. The week will conclude with a BBQ. Structured camp time will run from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. for $109 resident, $120 non-resident. We will also be offering a pre- and post- care, resulting in the camp day beginning at 8 a.m. and running until 5 p.m. fee for this option fee is  $129 resident $140 non-resident. If you register your children before Feb. 2 you will receive a $10 discount.
