Killington announces SnowMont Music Festival March 30 – April 1

KILLINGTON-Killington announced Feb. 9 that the SnowMont Music Festival, a three-day music festival, will arrive March 30-April 1, 2012. World-class musicians will preform on multiple stages and are expected to draw large crowds. The festival is schedule for the end of Killington Resort's Nor'Beaster 10-day kickoff party for spring, highlighting the best spring skiing and riding in the East.

"Killington Resort is thrilled host to a three-day music festival in partnership with the S.N.O.W. series that will feature live performances from top-notch musicians," stated Matt Porter, events and partnerships manager for Killington Resort. "This is an inaugural year for both the SnowMont Music Festival and Nor'Beaster; we're looking forward to a great start with our new spring event lineup."

Combining the world's best musicians with the world's best snow conditions, the 2012 SnowMont Music Festival is the East Coast edition of the S.N.O.W. series, which proposes the ultimate marriage: music and mountains.

With multiple stages showcasing the talent of some of today's most exciting artists, the live music at this year's SnowMont Festival is expected to satisfy thousands of hungry music fans - the national acts have averaged 10,000 festivalgoers per day at previous events created by the SnowMont Music Festival producers. Past successes include the SnowBall Music Festival (Avon, CO) and SnowGlobe Music Festival (South Lake Tahoe, CA).

"The Resort and the Town have worked together to bring this epic event to town," said Suzie Dundas, Director of Economic Development and Tourism for the town of Killington. "In years past, the town has supported Snoe.down, featuring Moe, which also featured shows in Rutland.  This event is entirely in Killington, and set to be a much bigger event."
