Samuel L. Bogorad, 97, of North Palm Beach, FL and Killington,
Vt., and formerly Rochester, NY died Tuesday evening Dec. 18.
He was born on July 3, 1915 in Rochester, NY the son of Solomon and
Rebecca (Carpas) Bogorad.
Samuel Bogorad graduated from the University of Illinois in 1938
with a degree in Industrial Engineering. Among the many jobs and
interest he had in his long lifetime he was the owner of the Seal
Bag Company in Rochester NY and N. Hollywood, CA.
While living in Vermont Mr. Bogorad was a member of the
Sherburne Fire Department, the Killington Rotary Club, the Masons
and many other worthy organizations.
He is survived by his two daughters; Sima B. Smith and her
husband Larry of Belle Mead, NJ and Ruth Holz and her husband
Richard of Greenwich, CT, four grandchildren, and two great
grandchildren. He was pre-deceased by his wife Dorothy (Filler)
Bogorad in September 1999.
A funeral service was be held on Sunday, Dec. 23 at 10 a.m. at
the Temple Shir Shalom in Woodstock, Vt. Burial was be in the
Riverside Cemetery in Killington, Vt.
