Attend Killington College for your two-week semester in
ski-tistics, board-ology and Party 101. College week continues
through Jan. 18, resort and community-wide.
Killington College weeks are filled with on snow and nightly
off-hill activities/parties for college students. Students will
also receive discounts at restaurants, nightclubs and retail shops
along the Killington Access Road.
Killington Mountain hosts a series of events throughout these
weeks including scavenger hunts, DJ parties and an official Monster
Energy Party at the Wobbly Barn.
On Tuesday, Jan. 15, join in the Monster Energy Scavenger Hunt,
a resort wide adventure hunt for teams or individuals. Each member
of your team must register at the Monster Energy Sampling Tent
outside the Snowshed Base Lodge and be a green circle or above
skier/rider to enter this event. Ski/ride around the resort to find
strategically placed Monster logos, about the size of a piece of
paper and return to the Monster Tent to win a prize! All Monster
logos will be hidden on green circle trails only and there will be
only one prize per participant. Registration is open 9 a.m. - 12
p.m. The event goes until all logos are found or 3 p.m., whichever
comes first.
On two Thursdays, Jan. 10 and 17, don't miss the Monster Energy
DJ Tubing Party. The DJ Tubing Party will be a killer evening
including tubing, DJ, dancing, pizza and beverages at the Parkside
Pizza Pub. Monster Energy will be sampling on-site and Vineyard
Vines will be displaying product and providing giveaways. Boarding
for Breast Cancer will be set up promoting Cancer Awareness. Tubing
tickets will be on sale for $15. The party kicks off at 4 p.m. at
the Killington Tubing Park. There are two tubing sessions
available, 4-6 p.m. or 6-8 p.m. Maximum of 100 tickets per
session.
Later the evening of Jan. 10, attend the Monster Energy Wobbly
Barn Party. The Wobbly Barn is the host of the official College
Week Monster Energy Party, featuring the music of Monster Energy's
DJ Prime spinning mixes and tossing out great Monster swag
throughout the night. Doors open at 8 p.m. and the first 100
through the door get Monster beanies. Additionally, the Monster
girls will be on hand as well as a raffle with great prizes
including lift tickets to Killington Resort. Must be 21+ with valid
I.D. to enter. No cover charge.
Additionally, some other scheduled events not to be missed will
be held along the Killington Road.
Jib under the lights at Darkside Snowboards' Dark Park, open
4-10 p.m. each night. Don't forget to check-in at the shop before
riding.
Got your best bikini body on? Outback Pizza & Night Club
holds a college bikini contest with DJ Dave on Monday, Jan. 14.
Drink a few too many beverages during the week? No worries. Amy
with Fusion Fitness offers a few body conditioning classes to kick
you into high gear, and put that six-pack where it belongs- on your
abs! See the calendar of events in this paper for class
times.
Bring your wet naps- Lookout Bar & Grill holds their Lookout
Wing Eating Contest, starting at 5 p.m.
And to dance the nights away, there's always plenty of aprés ski
and nightclub bands, DJs and music spanning the Killington Road.
See the Music Scene in this paper for details on who's playing
where.
Finally, be safe. Don't drink and drive. Most of the
establishments on the road offer a free shuttle, ride The Bus, call
a cab or ask the bartender on duty what your best options are to
get a ride home.
