Military couple wins a dream Vermont winter wedding from A Salute to Our Soldiers

CHITTENDEN-A Salute to Our Soldiers is pleased to announce that Courtney Beaulieu and Scott McCullough from Johnson, Vt. are the recipients of a complimentary Vermont wedding. Developed by VT Enchanted Events, and the Mountain Top Inn & Resort, the winning couple will celebrate their dream wedding on December 15, 2013 at The Mountain Top Inn & Resort in Chittenden, Vt.

Couples nationwide submitted compelling and genuine love stories to The contest was open to engaged and currently active, reserve, or retired members of the United States Armed Forces - Army, Navy Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, or National Guard.

"I wish I could give hundreds of weddings away because everyone who submitted their love story deserves their own dream wedding," Lorin Holmes, owner of said. "This year, both the bride and the groom served in the military, five and 12 years, respectively, and both deployed to Afghanistan in 2010. However, due to a truck bombing, Scott and Courtney's love story did not begin until both were back in the States. Scott's truck was hit with a 107 rocket and he sustained multiple life-threatening injuries.

When asked why they deserve this wedding, Courtney said that Scott's efforts in the Marines and Vermont National Guard warrant loving recognition of the personal sacrifices he has made for his country. Scott pointed out Courtney's "dedication and willingness to always help in every situation that comes her way."

Often, military personnel miss out on life's most precious moments due to deployments, casualties and injuries. In gratitude for their service, A Salute to Our Soldiers was developed to honor these couples and the Vermont wedding businesses involved are proud to give Courtney and Scott the wedding of their dreams.

After announcing the exciting news to the couple, Courtney "told us that when she saw the photos online of The Mountain Top Inn & Resort, it looked vaguely familiar to her," said Lorin Holmes of "When she asked her mother, her mother said that they used to visit The Mountain Top Inn during the holidays when Courtney was a child! And now she is going to have her dream wedding there - what a great surprise! It was just meant to be!"
