Pico Mountain Summer Adventure Center ceases operations

KILLINGTON-Pico Mountain has announced that they will cease to operate the Pico Mountain Summer Adventure center starting next summer.  This includes mini-golf, climbing walls, horseback riding, bungee trampoline and the Alpine Slides. The closure is due to declining interest in the Adventure Center by guests and subsequent poor revenue generation.

The Disc Golf venue that was in place at Pico will be re-located to the K-1 base area at Killington to augment the new Roaring Brook Umbrella Bar, Mountain Biking, hiking and K-1 Express Gondola summer activities.

"The curtailment of summer operations at Pico Mountain in no way affects the commitment of the ski area to its winter operations. Pico Mountain has enjoyed substantial growth in skier visits and winter revenue over the last several years and has been actively reinvesting in the infrastructure as it relates to winter operations," said Tracy Taylor, director of operations for Pico Mountain.
