BRIDGEWATER-On July 14 at approximately 4:30 a.m., The Vermont
State Police were notified of a burglary alarm activation at the
Bridgewater Corners Country Store. On arrival, the store owner
and Troopers found the front door to be forced open.
Further investigation revealed that the suspects stole
cigarettes and quickly left the store. Wendy Olsen, who owns the
store with her husband Paul, reported that the video survelance
showed two people entering the store wearing hoodies and bandanas.
One, she identified as female, the other person's gender could not
be identified. Olsen noted he/she was larger and carrying what
looked like a handbad. They were in the store less than a minute
and only took cigarettes.
