Vehicle stolen from Poultney residence

On July 10, at approximately 3:28 p.m., the Vermont State Police responded to a burglary complaint on Church St. in Poultney, Vt. The suspect(s) attempted several locations to enter the residence until they located an unsecure area. The suspect(s) damaged several areas where they attempted to gain entry.

After entry was made, the suspect(s) stole the keys to the vehicle in the driveway and departed in said vehicle. The stolen vehicle is a 2000 white Ford Ranger bearing Vermont truck registration BHH942. Douglas Trude, age 64, of Poultney, Vt., was the victim of this burglary.

A list of stolen items is being prepared along with estimates on damages.
