Dear Editor,
Vermonters went to the polls on August 28, albeit in small
numbers, to vote in primary races to define the November 6 ballots
throughout the state. I am a candidate for state representative in
the Rutland-Windsor 1 district, and I had no opponent on the
Democratic ballot. The voting was turned into a primary by a
write-in campaign by my opponent, and I want to thank those
who took the time to cast a vote for me. My campaign offers a
choice for a new voice, and I am getting out to hear your voices in
Bridgewater, Chittenden, Killington, and Mendon. As a
representative, I will listen, I will do the research, and I will
vote with reason. I am not running on issues, but instead on my
sense of commitment to our communities.
I am ready to work for you.
Anne Gallivan, Chittenden
