For more than two decades The Grist Mill has been a mainstay of
the Killington Access Road, catering to the apres ski needs of
skiers and residents alike. On Sept. 13, however, the well known
piece of Killington history closed its doors as property owners
Dave Gouchberg and Bill Bauer asked the tenant to vacate the
premises under the supervision of Killington Town Second Constable
Whit Montgomery. "Emotions run high in these situations, and its
was equally important to both parties that it go smoothly,"
Montgomery said. Building owner Dave Gouchberg had no comment when
contacted on Monday. Details are still being worked out but this
story will be covered by The Mountain Times in a later issue as it
develops.
