Dear Editor,
Last year less than two weeks before Christmas the access
road was completely bare of any decorations except for the Phat
Italian. I wrote to the selectboard and my letter was printed in
The Mountain Times. The trees atop West Hill Rd were
bare, no lights. As for the rest of the road zero. Not one business
owner made any effort to decorate their businesses for the holiday
season, and for the visitors who come here to vacation and ski.
"Our most important time of year."
Seth Webb has assured me that the Island atop West Hill Rd will
be lighted for Thanksgiving. But what about the rest of the road?
The light poles along the sidewalk all should have garlands and
lights on them. There should be Xmas trees dotting the road, and
whatever else. You know what they say, "scared money, makes no
money." You business owner's, and the Chamber, show us what you've
got.
Let's improve upon last year.
