Two charged with retail theft from Hannaford in Rutland

RUTLAND TOWN - On Feb. 6, at approximately 5:15 p.m., Vermont State Police arrested Chrystal M. Cioffi, age 22 from Proctor, Vt, for Retail Theft after Cioffi was observed by police and Hannaford loss prevention as she walked out of the store located at 318 U.S. Route 7 without paying for a cart full of merchandise valued at $163.49.  Cioffi was issued a criminal citation to appear in Rutland Superior Court, Criminal Division on March 18, 2013.

RUTLAND TOWN-On Feb. 3, at approximately 5:25 p.m., Vermont State Police responded to the Hannaford Supermarket in Rutland Town for a reported theft at the store located at 318 U.S. Route 7.

Hannaford loss prevention coordinator contacted police after observing a male subject exit the store without paying for a cart full of merchandise valued at $203.51. The loss prevention coordinator approached the male outside and recovered the merchandise after the male fled the area in a vehicle. State Police later identified the male as Ian M. Dennis, age 18 from Rutland, Vt. Police made contact with Dennis on Feb. 11,  and issued him a citation to appear to Rutland Superior Court, Criminal Division on March 25, 2013.
