Killington Chamber opens in new location

KILLINGTON - The Killington Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that the new chamber office (located at the former Bill's Country Store) is now open for business.

The building has come a long way since it was purchased at auction. The floors have been refinished, the bathrooms have been renovated along with many other updates and improvements.

The Chamber would like to thank the many volunteers that helped make this opening possible.

The new office will have expanded hours of operation. It will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday - Friday and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday.

At this time, the Chamber will continue to operate primarily as it has in the past, providing information on activities, dining, lodging and shopping in the local area. The board of directors is hard at work developing a plan to turn the Chamber office into a fully realized Visitor/Welcome center for the Killington Community.

There are plans to add kiosks, displays and other advertising opportunities that will help to make the Chamber offices self-sustaining, and help to keep the Killington Chamber membership dues affordable.

Bennington Furniture will be donating furniture for a comfortable lounge area and the board is working with the Killington resort on signage and video equipment that will provide real-time updates on mountain activities.

The Chamber is also working with the Town of Killington to possibly attain a state grant to build a Park & Ride in the lots between Base Camp Outfitters and the new Chamber offices.
