KILLINGTON - The holiday spirit will shine bright this year in
Killington as the community welcomes visitors with light displays
through holiday season. Last year, over 25 businesses
participated in the Festival of Lights.
This year marks the second annual festival organized in
partnership with the Town of Killington, the Killington Chamber of
Commerce and The Mountain Times. Last year the inaugural event
debuted as a resurrection of the White Lights Contest held in
Killington in decades past.
The Town of Killington will add decorations throughout the
community at the West Hill intersection, on lamp posts on
Killington Road, at the Municipal Offices and on the Killington
All business owners are encouraged to show their holiday spirit by
decorating their businesses with lights (white or colored).
Participating businesses will compete for prizes and be judged by a
panel Dec. 12-13. In addition to bragging rights, the winner
will receive front page coverage in The Mountain Times Christmas
week and an advertising package, a blackout season pass donated by
Killington Resort and a plaque to be displayed at the
