PITTSFIELD - The Pittsfield Federated Church Hurricane Relief
Fund has collected over $90,000 and administered over $70,000, as
of Dec. 16.
The current fund balance is around $20,000. The administrators
desire to get it up to a point where they can administer another
$5,000 to each of the victims who lost homes. "We are just a little
over $15,000 short of that intermittent goal," said Howard Gunter,
Pastor Pittsfield Federated Church.
Pittsfield Hurricane Relief Fund is under serious consideration
for a $5,000 grant from the Vermont Community Foundation, which
would significantly aid the fund ability to continue to be a very
positive and viable resource for local victims.
100% of all donations to the Pittsfield Hurricane Relief Fund have
gone directly to victims and required banking/PayPal fees. No
monies have been used for supplies, postage, administration or any
other materials or services whatsoever.
