Pittsfieldhurricanerelief.org distributed another round of
checks today in the amount of $1,000 to each of the families in
Pittsfield that lost their homes and much of their possessions.
Each of these families has now received a total of $12,000 from
this fund.
The Pittsfield Hurricane Relieif fun will continue to receive
donations as long as they trickle in and will see to it that the
money continues to aid the victim families. The fund's bank account
was compromised electronically, but TD Bank immediately assisted in
preventing any losses whatsoever. That account has been closed and
the bank is assisting us in processing any additional funding that
may be forthcoming.
"I just want to thank everyone who had a hand in helping our
friends and neighbors in any way - one more time. We cannot express
our gratitude sufficiently," said Pastor Howard Gunter,
Pittsfield Federated Church.
