William (Bill) H. Bannerman and Jeremiah (Jerry) Tarr were
honored recently at the New England Association of Healthcare
Philanthropy (NEAHP) with the Distinguished Service to Philanthropy
Award. The NEAHP Award was founded in 1978 to recognize
extraordinary philanthropists and volunteers in philanthropy who
have made significant contributions to a New England health care
organization. Over 300 health care organizations in New England are
members of NEAHP.
Bannerman and Tarr were co-chairs of Rutland Regional Medical
Center's recent capital campaign initiative that raised funds for a
new linear accelerator for the Foley Cancer Center. The campaign
raised $1.5 million dollars surpassing the established goal of
$1.25 million.
Bannerman and Tarr were honored at the New England Association of
Healthcare Philanthropy's annual conference in Meredith, NH. Over
180 fundraising professionals paid tribute to Bannerman and Tarr's
leadership, volunteerism and dedication to Rutland Regional Medical
Center and other organizations in the community.
