Jake Duprey and Heather O'Bara tragically experienced a house
fire on Christmas night this past winter. But their burden was
lessened by the help from neighbors and nearby towns. $859.02 was
collected to assist Duprey and O'Bara. Laurie Notvotny spearheaded
this campaign and money was collected in donation jars at The
Pittstop and the Pittsfield General Store. Pittsfield and
Stockbridge, particularly, were noted for their help and
donations.
In total over $28,000 was collected and used to purchase another
mobile home as well as one year homeowners insurance policy, filled
their propane tank and paid for the electrical hook up at Duprey
and O'Bara's home site.
