Killington Softball League hosts All-Star Game

Last week the All-Star Game was held signifying that the season has officially come to a close. The All-Star Game is unique because teams are randomly selected, poising teammates agaist each other for the first time.
The East All-Star's used a quadruple pitcher combo of starter Will "The Thrill" Burdick, middle relief DJ Dave, late inning specialist Craig Brothers and closer Brandon "Red" Terwilliger.
The West All-Star's featured Jamie Rameau, Prior and Jackie Blue. It was the highest scoring All-Star Game to date and it highlighted some surprising stars.
The West jumped all over Burdick and DJ Dave but both were able to settle down and get some key "Cold Beer K's". DJ Dave was able to deliver one to Prior after a long pitch battle. The West was able to build an 8-run lead and appeared to be headed to their third straight win but the East finally woke up their bats. DJ Dave got his first ever inside-the-park homerun, off regular teammate Jackie Blue, which capped the comeback and gave them their first lead.
The hit parade continued in the sixth and the East was able to blast their way to an 11-run lead. Besides starring in pitching and hitting, DJ Dave was a wall in center field and also had a nice play at second with a diving stab and flip to Burdick at first.
Umpire Jim Lewis joined the West Squad and showed he could play with two big RBI hits. Unfortunately for the West, Brothers and Terwilliger were lights out.
The East showed how the West was not won and got some payback with a 19-10 come-from-behind win.
