Trail of the week: “Luvin It”

By Tony Accurso

“Luvin It” is a fantastic trail located in the Green Mountain Trails system in Pittsfield, Vt. The lower part begins on the fire road at the intersection of “Stonewall” and “Upper Noodles Revenge.” The trail consists of technical climbing, with some challenging aspects, such as tight off-camber rock sections, tight switch backs, and short steep sections. The  personal satisfaction gained from ascending this mid-mountain trail — coupled with climbing up from either “Escalator” and “The Stairs” from Aimee Farm, or “Noodles Revenge” from Riverside Farm — is what mountain biking in Vermont is all about. A side benefit of taking this route to the top allows one access to the best trails for descending, such as “Fusters” and some of the more playful trails near the top such as “Zebedee” and “Labyrinth.”
