“Berga: Soldiers of Another War” kicks off the 6th annual season for Woodstock Film Series at Billings Farm & Museum.

Saturday, Oct. 24 at 3 p.m. — WOODSTOCK — The 6th Annual Woodstock Vermont Film Series at the Billings Farm & Museum begins this weekend, and will feature the award-winning documentary “Berga: Soldiers of Another War” on Saturday, Oct. 24 at 3 p.m.

“Berga” is the untold story of 350 American prisoners of war caught in the tragedy of the Holocaust. It is the final work in the distinguished 50-year career of the late documentary filmmaker Charles Guggenheim, winner of four Academy Awards®. His personal connection to the story inspired him to write, direct, and narrate the film, which he completed just six weeks before his death. Grace Guggenheim, president of Guggenheim Productions, Inc., will introduce the film. Grace began collaborating with her father in 1986, producing more than 20 of GPI’s most current titles, including “Berga.”

Tickets prices are per film, or as a 15-film package rate. For info or a complete list of screenings and ticket info, visit www.billingsfarm.org/filmfest or call 802-457-2355.
