Alan K. Betts to speak on caring for the earth

Monday, Feb. 17 at 7 p.m.—STOCKBRIDGE—Dr. Alan Betts of Atmospheric Research in Pittsford is Vermont’s leading climate scientist. He is a frequent speaker on climate change issues around the state, and has worked on climate change adaptation planning for Vermont. He is a Weekly Planet columnist for the Rutland Herald and Barre-Montpelier Times-Argus. You can hear and see his radio and TV appearances on his web-site, alanbetts.com

Betts will speak at the Stockbridge town meeting hall on “caring for the earth” for 45 minutes, followed by a 45 minute discussion. Participants are urged to carpool to this event. Stockbridge town hall is located at 1722 Route 100 in Stockbridge.
