Barnard General Store hosts socially distant egg hunt

Sunday, April 12 at 9 a.m.—BARNARD— The Barnard General Store (BGS) will be hosting a “Socially Distant Egg Hunt” on Easter Sunday, April 12. This is an opportunity for kids to search for eggs without leaving the safety of their parents’ car. Success will include solving riddles as well as scouting eggs out the window and all you need to participate is a pen and paper.

The hunt begins at the Universalist Church in Barnard (6211 VT Route-12). Stay in your car and count the number of eggs you can see. Once you’ve completed counting, read the riddle on the poster, which will guide you to your next location. Once you solve all the riddles and count all the eggs at the locations, email BarnardStore@gmail.com with the total number of eggs you counted. All are welcome to participate from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. but please stay in your car the whole time. Email your guesses no later than 5 p.m. on April 12. The winners will receive prizes.

The BGS will also offer special Easter pancakes until 12 p.m. for carry out or curbside pick up.
