Brandon Music presents father-son duo, Ken and Brad Kolodner

Saturday, May 14 at 7:30 p.m. — BRANDON — The father-son duo of Ken and Brad Kolodner push the boundaries of the Appalachian tradition by infusing their own brand of innovative, tasteful and unique interpretations of traditional and original fiddle tunes. Ken is regarded as one of the most influential hammered dulcimer players and old-time fiddlers in the U.S., while his son Brad is a rising star in the clawhammer banjo world. Together they perform tight arrangements of original and traditional old-time music that appeals to every generation. Hear the duo live at Brandon Music on Saturday, May 14 at 7:30 p.m.

The duo’s first recording, “Otter Creek,” became the most played instrumental recording on the international Folk-DJ Radio charts, featuring Brad’s first original composition, the title track. Brad has since rapidly gained national recognition for his delicate touch and writing. Their latest project, “Skipping Rocks,” debuted at no. 4 on the Folk-DJ Charts and in the top 20 on the Roots Music Charts.
