Car strikes, kills teenager — no criminal charges

EAST RANDOLPH — On Thursday, Aug. 28 at about 3:30 p.m., Zachary Paroline, 14, of East Randolph, stepped out from behind a parked van into the path of a 2005 Cadillac CTS driven by Cady Boule, 17, of Randolph Center. The incident occurred on Route 14 South in East Randolph. The weather was partly sunny and the road condition was dry. After a complete investigation by state police no criminal charges will be filed against the operator Cady Boule. The Cadillac’s computer data recorder revealed that Boule was traveling 40-42 mph at the time of the accident. Investigation also revealed that the parked van obstructed Boule’s view and created a situation where she could not avoid Paroline. Paroline was rushed to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center and died on Sept. 2 from severe head trauma sustained in the collision.
