Carving Studio artist in residence Kevin Donegan gives talk on recent work

Saturday, March 14 at 5 p.m. — WEST RUTLAND — The Carving Studio and Sculpture Center presents a talk by artist in residence Kevin Donegan the evening of Saturday, March 14 from 5 – 7 p.m. Donegan will be discussing his recent work in assemblage, utilizing new and found metal materials. A departure from the sculptor’s customary stone carving, the new pieces represent a broadening of his unique visual vocabulary.

Hinesburg native Kevin Donegan grew up on his family’s farm, using art to explore the human condition as it relates to the Vermont landscape. He combines his fine art work with his career as a professional stone mason. His work has been exhibited widely in Vermont and is represented in many private collections.

The artist talk  is free and open to the public, with light refreshments provided. The Carving Studio and Sculpture Center is located at 636 Marble Street, West Rutland.
