Castleton University Arts presents Cashore Marionettes for two shows

Tuesday, Jan. 28 at 10 a.m. and 7 p.m.—CASTLETON—Joseph Cashore presents his collection of marionette masterworks in two shows, “Simple Gifts” at 10 a.m. and “Life in Motion” at 7 p.m. Experience characters of depth, integrity, and humanity portrayed in an evening unlike anything else in theater today. The performance is a series of scenes taken from everyday life and set to beautiful music by composers such as Beethoven, Vivaldi, Strauss, and Copland.

Castleton University will host more than 20 arts and cultural events during the spring 2020 semester. Castleton University Arts events are open to students, faculty, staff, alumni, and the greater community.

“I am incredibly excited for the talented artists and speakers we have the pleasure of hosting at Castleton this semester,” said Marisa Valent, manager of the Fine Arts Center and Soundings program. “Both the students and the greater Castleton community will have the opportunity to experience artistic and cultural events unlike any they’ve ever seen.”

Admission is $10 for adults 12-64 and $5 for children under 12 and seniors.
