Celebrate Christmas in Brownsville

Saturday, Dec. 7 at 9 a.m.—WEST WINDSOR—For decades folks have started their Christmas shopping at the famous Brownsville Christmas Bazaar which runs from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at the West Windsor Town Hall, 275 Broad St. in West Windsor. The ladies of the United Methodist Women’s group have once again, pulled together a fine gathering of artisans and crafters who will be selling their wares at one of the area’s first Christmas bazaars.  Shoppers at the Bazaar will enjoy coffee and donuts in the morning and Christmas music by West Windsor fiddler Adam Boyce later on.

Busy shoppers can also recharge with a fine lunch starting at 11 a.m., when the ladies will be offering an array of delicacies including homemade soups, stews, salads and sandwiches as well as freshly baked deserts.  Contact Gail Britton at 802-674-6805 for more information on the Bazaar.  Contact Ann Matthews for information on the United Methodist Women’s group at 802-484-5502.

Then at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, the community will be treated to a concert of Christmas music and carols at the Brownsville Community Church located at 53 Brownsville-Hartland Road in Brownsville. Rev. Christian Huebner has arranged this concert, which will feature talented musicians of all ages.  There will be organ, brass, piano, voice and possibly more.  Composers include Bach, Beethoven and Handel with original compositions by Skip Downing and Allie Leary.
