Chrisandra’s helps raise funds for the Women’s Freedom Center

LUDLOW—Chrisandra’s Interiors held a charity event benefiting the Women’s Freedom Center (WFC) on Aug. 13, Saturday. at its retail store located on Main Street in Ludlow.
“Our goal is to raise money through the sale of raffle tickets to help the WFC provide much needed services and programs for victims of domestic violence,” said store manager Cindy Fuller prior to the event.
Chrisandra’s also collected donations of furniture, and other household goods and accessories as well as clothing and food to help people begin a new life free from physical, verbal and mental abuse, offering a one-time 10 percent off discount to those who donated household items to the WFC.
The event featured fun, food, fortune telling, music, shopping and a raffle.
“I think the event went fairly well considering the weather and all,” said Fuller. “We raised $840 and people seemed to enjoy themselves.”
