Country western group Spurs USA performs at Fair Haven park this week

Thursday, July 2 at 7 p.m. — FAIR HAVEN — Fair Haven Concerts in the Park welcomes back the award winning Spurs USA on Thursday evening, July 2. This fourth in the series of 10 concerts will showcase this talented group that  performs both traditional country western and western swing.

Spurs USA plays everything country, including the music of greats such as Johnny Cash, Hank Williams, Loretta Lynn, Patsy Cline, Buck Owens, Ray Price, George Strait, Dottie West, Dolly Parton, Charlie Daniels, and many more. If you like tunes like “Hey Good Looking,” “On The Road Again,” “Jambalaya,” “All My Exes,” “Mama Tried,” and the like, then this is one concert you will not want to miss.

Great classic country music is played by seasoned and passionate musicians: Andy Gordon, pedal steel and banjo; Paul Rice, fiddle, vocals and electric guitar; John Barrett, bass guitar; and Terry Hall,drummer extraordinaire. New Yorker Dwight O’Neil lends his sweet southern lead vocals and guitar. Dona Federico performs lead vocals, plays small percussion and has a gift for really engaging with her audience.

The concert begins at 7 p.m. but concert-goers are welcome to begin arriving any time after 4 p.m. Picnic tables and benches can be found throughout the park. Door prizes are drawn during intermission and 50/50 tickets will be sold  Food items such as popcorn, hotdogs and soda are available for purchase.

This concert features one of the series’ free ice cream nights!
