Eat local meat at Rupert game supper

Rupert 4-H Club members Lexi Cary and Jamie Landon, along with Mettawee Community School 6th graders Taylor Amaral, Ashton Towsley and Lucas Mattison, invite the public-at-large to the Annual Rupert Game Supper.

Saturday, Nov. 21 at 5 p.m. — RUPERT — The Rupert Volunteer Fire Department’s annual gourmet game supper will be held Saturday, Nov. 21 starting at 5 p.m. at the Rupert Fire House, Route 315 in Rupert. Game dinner tickets are $12 per adult; $6 for children 10 and under. Takeouts are available. Dinner proceeds benefit the Rupert Volunteer Fire Department.

According to Kelli Lewis, the menu will include but is not limited to: venison stroganoff, venison Swedish meatballs, teriyaki moose, sweet and sour moose meatballs, bear, pheasant, duck, and maybe even a little bit of ‘gator; and for non-game lovers there will be roast beef and turkey. Side dishes and dessert included.

Mettawee Community School sixth graders will be waiting tables for tips and holding a 50/50 raffle to benefit their class trip in the spring. Additionally, the Rupert 4-H Club will host a silent auction. There will also be a gun raffle.
